The Mimic
It's not very often that truly terrifying experiences are uploaded to Roblox, so whenThe Mimicgrew to massive popularity in 2021, it made perfect sense. With chillingly realistic sound design, multiple thought-out chapters, a map massive enough to make you feel insignificant, and plenty of jump scares, The Mimic stands far above many other horror experiences on the platform and should be played by any fan of the genre. The person standing behind you right now thinks so too!
Apeirophobia
Similar to the fan-favorite Roblox experience mentioned above,The Mimic, Apeirophobia requires players to explore unsettling levels, complete various tasks, and ultimately reach the exit all while evading exceptionally chilling monsters. Luckily, you're allowed to venture these endless backrooms with friends, which makes the whole "running for your life" situation even a smidge better!
DOORS
Following the success ofThe MimicandApeirophobia, another horror/survival-style experience joined the Roblox platform—DOORS. In this experience, players must maneuver throughout, and ultimately escape, a haunted hotel by sneaking, sprinting, solving puzzles, and, most importantly, evading various types of monsters. While many players may view this experience as overrated, I think it deserves the hype it's received! Not only does DOORS offer some fun scares, it's also just a well-developed and clean-looking experience.

Are you looking to get your heart pumping? Do you enjoy the thrill of survival? Then3008is the experience for you! Not only does 3008 offer solid scares, it also features a day-and-night survival system that requires players to monitor their energy, stock up on food and water, properly make use of medkits, build strong and reliable bases, and work together with friends and strangers...if they so choose. When you're in a constant state of looking over your shoulder, you never know who you can really trust.
Short Creepy Stories
When I say that this is one of the scariest Roblox experiences I've ever played, if not the scariest, I mean it! If you're anything like me, chances are you'd randomly stumble across this experience while looking for something to play with your friends, you'd say screw it and give it a try (even though you think it looks pretty meh), and then not even five minutes into your first play through you'd have your eyes mostly closed and would be regretting your decision to even click on it. There's not much I can say about Short Creepy Stories that won't spoil it; it's something you just have to try it for yourself. If you're looking for a really solid and creepy, psychological-horror style experience, this is one you have to try.

Forgotten Memories
Forgotten Memoriesbrings the beloved characters from Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to Roblox, and they're just as revenge-hungry over here! In this experience, just like normal FNaF, you must manage cameras, power, and general security work to ensure that nothing strange happens while you're on the clock. Unlike normal FNaF, however, you can work with a team in this experience, meaning you don't have to face the nights alone! You also have free range to explore the entire map...which means an entire map full of chances for you and your team to get attacked—wins and losses amirite!
Residence Massacre
If you enjoy experiences that challenge you to survive and use some sort of strategy, and you love screaming and laughing with your friends, Residence Massacre could be a great experience for you to check out. In this experience, you and a group of your roommates are tasked with surviving a night in your house by keeping lights on, oxygen filled, and windows intact—seems simple enough, right? Throw a killer monster into the mix and things suddenly become a lot more interesting!
ELMIRA
ELMIRA is an immersive, exploration-driven horror experience that drops you and a small group of your friends in the middle of nowhere and challenges you reunite yourselves with your missing peers. Far from your originally intended field trip destination, you and your friends are left to explore an abandoned hospital looking for answers as to where everyone else disappeared to, and how you can get them back. With multiple chapters filled to the brim with creepily-unsettling ambiance, ELMIRA is a great horror experience to play on those nights when you just want to be scared!
The Maze
The Mazeis a terrifyingly perfect mix between the thought of what lurks in the distance at any moment, and what's breathing down your neck once you enter claustrophobically close quarters. With the use of a camera's flash as your character's main light source, The Maze makes exploring an abandoned mining cave that much more horrifying, even if you get to do it with 11 of your friends. In fact, keeping track of other players in this experience is exceptionally difficult due to the cave's twists and turns, so sometimes hearing footsteps near you, or seeing the glimmer of a light around a corner, does more harm than good!
Alone in a Dark House
On the surface,Alone in a Dark House(AIADH) may seem like just another murder mystery experience—work as a private investigator, explore the creepy murder house, solve the case, win. Whether fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, this couldn't be farther from the truth. AIADH pushes players to solve puzzles, work with their teammates, and tackle various fears including ghosts, the dark, tight spaces, and being truly alone.

Dark Corners
Collect shards, complete multiple levels, escape—seems simple enough, right? Not quite. As a majority of horror games do,Dark Cornersaims to scare you, and they don't pull any punches in doing so. With an insane amount of pop ups, loud noises, and sudden changes, this experience leaves everything on the table, and sometimes that's all a horror fan wants! If you're looking for an experience to play with friends that'll invoke screams, laughs, and plenty of scares, Dark Corners is the one for you.
Radiant Residents
Radiant Residents is a relatively new Roblox experience, only releasing in July 2023, but it's already garnered quite the player base. In this horror experience, you and your friends must band together and survive as a nuclear war breaks out around you. You're tasked with collecting materials, assigning roles, avoiding enemies, and, of course, staying alive, for upwards of 50 nights. Throughout the days in your bunker, you and your group of survivors will encounter random events, which keep the experience interesting and can make for some pretty hilarious/and or scary moments!
BEAR
One of the morefunexperiences on this list,BEARis aone versus allescape the enemy experience where one player in the server is turned intoBear, and the other nine players must escape and defeat them. Surprinsgly terrifying, Bear is fast, loud, and has a horrifying jump scare screen, so don't go into this experience expecting a simple kid's game—rookie mistake! Players can also customize their Bear skin that appears when they're chosen to transform, and we'll just say that some of them do not resemble cute and fluffy teddy bears!
Three Nightmares
Three Nightmaresallows players to choose and play through three unique horror stories, each with their own setting, mystery, suspense, and enemies. This game is not for the faint of heart as it incorporates flashing lights, exceptionally loud noises, sudden jump scares, and other visuals that may be too much for the average Roblox player. On top of that, Three Nightmares is designed to appear as if you're watching an old VHS tape, so the entire experience is covered in a crackling, static-y filter—great!
Survive the Killer
Survive the Killer, similar to Piggy or Banana Eats (which are also fun horror experiences!), is a short-form, horror-survival experience that randomly selects one player to be a killer each round, and then traps all other players with said killer and requires them to run, hide, solve puzzles, and work together with those in their server to escape. While this experience doesn't have the classic "jump scare" scary elements, it can still definitely get your heart pumping and be a ton of fun to play with friends.
