NBA Player Props & Best Bets Today: Schedule, Picks for Thursday (2024)

We're examining a seven-game NBA slate for our favorite player props and the best bets for Thursday based on the bestNBA odds.

After nine games on the NBA schedule for Wednesday, we're down to a seven-game slate to choose from on Thursday.

One notable absence will be Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley, leaving a void in their frontcourt as they prepare to face off against the Boston Celtics. With Mobley sidelined, the Cavaliers face the challenge of adjusting their frontcourt strategies and rotations to compensate against the Celtics, who have been one of the NBA's best teams this season.

Meanwhile, the white-hot Coby White and the Chicago Bulls journey to South Beach for a matchup with the Miami Heat, and the Sacramento Kings welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder for what should be a high-scoring, tightly contested affair.

Finally, the Brooklyn Nets journey to Ball Arena to take on the Denver Nuggets in Thursday’s nightcap, and Aaron Gordon aims to stay active on the glass.

Thursday’s NBA player props

Coby White Over 29.5points + rebounds + assists vs. Heat (+100 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Whitestarted the season on rocky footing, but the fifth-year guard is in the midstof the best stretch of his career. He’s been given the keys to Chicago’soffense as the team’s starting point guard, but he’s taken on heavy workload asa scorer, especially with Zach LaVine out of action.

Whitehas averaged 23.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists across his last 11 outings(good for 32.8 PRAs), and he's scored at least 20 points in eight of them. He’scleared 30 PRAs in seven of his last 11, including five of his last six, and he narrowly missed hitting this prop with a 20/5/3 line against Miami in his firstmeeting with the team.

White is on a heater right now, and with LaVine still onthe sidelines and Chicago desperate for scoring and playmaking, we can expectWhite to post some big numbers once again.

Thisprop has been ridiculously juiced across ourbest sports betting apps, up to -160 at 29.5and -110 at 30.5. DraftKings’ even-money odds are clearly mispriced, and we’lltake full advantage.

Domantas Sabonis over14.5 rebounds vs. Thunder (+110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sabonisis one of the NBA’s premier rebounders, and he’s in an excellent spot tonightagainst the Thunder. Oklahoma City has surrendered the second-most rebounds toopponents on the season, and over the last three, the team has given up 61.3boards, easily the most in the Association.

Sabonisis averaging 12.2 rebounds on the season, and he’s pulled down atleast 15 in seven of 22 contests. That includes two of his last three and threeof his last five.

Sabonis pulled down only 13 rebounds against the Thunder in hisprior matchup with the team this season, but De’Aaron Fox was out for that one,and Sabonis was forced to take on additional playmaking responsibilities. Hefinished with a 17/13/13 triple-double.

With Fox back in action for Thursday’smatchup, Sabonis should be free to focus on what he does best - crash theglass. This line is offered at 13.5 rebounds, but we’ll take it at 14.5 forplus-money odds.

Jayson Tatumdouble-double vs. Cavaliers (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

If it ain’t broke, why fix it? Tatum posted a 25/10double-double against the Cavs on Tuesday, and he can do it for a secondstraight game on Thursday. The Cavs allow the 10th-most rebounds overall, andthey’ll be without defensive anchor Mobley for a fourth straight contest.

Tatum has recorded a double-double in two of his last three, and he’saveraging 8.8 rebounds per game this season.

It’s been over two years sinceTatum posted single-digit points in a regular-season game, so we won’t concernourselves with that half of the double-double. On the season, he’s recorded a double-double in nine of 22 games, and without Mobley patrolling the paint, hecan pull down double-digit boards and secure his 10th of the year.

Aaron Gordon Over 6.5rebounds vs. Nets (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Asfar as rebound props go, this one is as close to a lock as we can find for Thursday’s slate. Gordon has pulled down at least seven rebounds in 14 of 21games this season. He averages 8.5 boards at home and just 6.5 on the road. He’s cleared this mark in six of eight home games and pulled down seven andfive boards in the other two.

Overthe last three games, the Nets have allowed the ninth-most rebounds toopponents, and they may not be at their best tonight. Brooklyn defeated Phoenixon the road Wednesday, and the team will play the second leg of a back-to-backset in Denver, one of the toughest places to win in the NBA.

We’ll take Gordonin a favorable home matchup to keep gobbling up rebounds.
